Contrel Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 1998, formerly known as Contrel Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd.. It is a reinvestment business of Tongtai Machine & Tool Co., Ltd., and was initially dedicated to designing and producing IC packaging and testing equipment. In 1999, due to the take-off of the optoelectronics industry and the determination of Chi Mei Electronics to localize the equipment, it turned to the R&D and production of panel equipment. In 2004, it was renamed Contrel Technology Co., Ltd. and used the manufacturing process for the TFT-LCD panel factory. Equipment, inspection and refurbishment equipment, automation equipment, etc., became a leading manufacturer of LCD equipment. In recent years, with market changes, Contrel has consolidated its panel equipment and diversified its operations, stepping into the laser industry to establish a laser R&D center. CASTEC was founded in March 2005. Since its establishment, it has focused on "factory automation" as its main business project and continues to this day.
